Out comes the bowl,
In goes the shark fin,
Throw in some gross bugs,
And all the rubbish from the bin.
A few piece of wiggly octopus leg,
And 4 teaspoons of oil.
Watch it bubble and sizzle,
Throw some dry soil.
Put in 5 pieces of butter,
And 3 bags of peas,
12 shakes of salt,
And cup of cold tea.
Boil it up,
And serve it to dad.
He had one swallow,
And he turned really mad.
I ran out side,
My dad chased me with a stick,
I got smack by my dad,
And I started to feel sick.

Our Trip to Palmers
Look what we did when we went on our BIG trip to the garden shop to buy plants for our vegetable garden. Come and have a look
Yucky Soup
Get a pot out.
Put the octopus in.
Add the dark black coffee.
And mix them in to the rubbish bin.
Add the bird feathers.
And fry them up.
After that, stir in the milk.
And pour into a cup.
Give the soup to dad.
With a big, big smile.
Run away and hide.
Then wait for a long while.

Yucky Soup
Out comes the pan,
In goes the horses tail,
With a red amutum leaf,
And add in the fingernail.
We mix in the paint.
With a branch from the tree,
Give the yucky soup to mum,
Fly away quickly like a bee.

Crate Climbing
It was a nice, sunny afternoon. My group and I ran to the hall to do the next activity. There were some funny red things that looked like boxes. They were crates!! Our activity was crate climbing.
I felt really, really excited because it was my first time to do crate climbing. The first person did it – she didn’t get far. Then the second, third, fourth and fifth. Now it was my turn. My heart started to hop like a rabbit!
I put the harness on. Before I put on the harness, I told my friend, Sarah, my goal. My goal was to climb more than 10 crates. I climbed over the first crate, it was so easy, then the next crate, then the next one. I was up so high! The people looked like ants. I was getting tired. My legs were shaking and my body was going down, but I couldn’t stop here. I was up to ten! I could reach my goal. “You can’t give up now Kelly,” I said to myself, “One more!” I breathed and climbed another crate. Now the crates were shaking like my legs!!! But I achieved my goal! “YES!! Climb more, I can do it!” I shouted to myself.
When I was up to 13 I was so tired. I couldn’t even get up! ‘” Kelly, just jump!” my parent leader said. “Can….ca…ca…can’t jump…pp…jum…jump!” “Jump Kelly, you can do it. It’s the only way to fight fear”, I said to myself. Then I jumped!! I felt good because I didn’t have to be scared anymore. I was flying! I kicked the crate. Crash! Crash! The crates all fell down as I went down to the ground.
My body was tired and my legs were wobbly like jelly, so my team called me Kelly Jelly. I couldn’t walk properly or even stand! Sarah, Will and Luke helped me to walk properly.
Someday in my life, if I do crate climbing again, my goal will be to climb more than 13 crates!!
